BCRR Great Strides Scholarship
Last evening at the Winter Series Banquet it was my great pleasure to introduce all of you to our BCRR Great Strides Scholarship winners: Brendan Farrell and Kristin Wandling.
One of the aspects of the scholarship application is for students to write a 5oo word essay describing how running has helped them overcome something in their lives as well as recommendation letters from their coaches and another influential adult in their lives.
The letters we received about both Kristen and Brendan simply confirmed for us what we were already leaning towards–that these two young people are not only worth investing in but they are great ambassadors for the bucks county running community.
Included in this post are letters from Kristen’s coach and Brendan’s teacher. I hope after reading them you feel as much pride as I do that they are definite examples of young people who have taken Great Strides.
