Broad Street Run Bus Information for May 1, 2022

April 28, 2022 By Kathy McKinney

Washington Crossing bus:
Advanced Spine and Sports Medicine
1098 Washington Crossing Road, Washington Crossing, PA 18977
Bus Captains: John O’Brien, Jimmy Balmer

Doylestown bus:
Advanced Spine and Sports Medicine
701 Hyde Park, Doylestown, PA 18902
Bus Captain: Johnny King-Marino

Please arrive no later than 5:30 am, so we can get the buses loaded up and out the door by 5:45 am. The buses will leave on time, and there are no refunds if you miss the bus. Please note the new Doylestown office address. You may want to bring a bag and a change of clothes (suggested). Bring a tailgate chair.  Please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. You may use the restrooms at ASSM before departing; they are plentiful.  There is only one bathroom on each bus, so please prepare accordingly and be considerate to your fellow passengers. There should be minimal lines at the porta johns when we get to the starting line.

Buses will be arriving at the race start at 6:45 am and remain parked until 7:45 am. Feel free to leave all your gear on the bus.  The bus will make its way to the Wells Fargo Parking lot section “D” (family may stay on the bus). There will be tents and flags around the buses to help you identify our buses.  There will be maps to the buses available.

Under the BCRR tent, you will find a generous tailgate with club President Johnny King-Marino and his crack group of volunteers cooking up a storm.  Tailgate is complete with tacos with all the fixings (real corn chips not Doritos). There will be veggie options and all items will be gluten free. There will be plenty of side dishes as well as two kegs of beer, Margaritas and soft drinks. Bottled water will also be provided.  You may bring your own cooler if you are picky about your beverages.

All alcohol must be consumed in solo cups provided. You must be 21 years old to consume alcohol.  All BCRR members and their guests are welcome to tailgate even if they are not on the bus (donation suggested).
Food and beverages are sponsored by BCRR, B & B Beverages (thank you Andy Jarin) and Advanced Spine and Sports Medicine.

Once everyone has finished the race and has had their fill, the buses will return to the two ASSM locations. I can’t imagine us getting home later than 12:30 pm. We will have runners finishing between 60 minutes and close to two hours. Please try to get back to the bus as soon as you finish. Feel free to invite prospective members or running friends to the tailgate.

Thanks to everyone for making this happen!
