Independence Week Workout
Warm Up:
• 10 minute jog warm up, dynamic stretching and strides
Workout:
Race simulation
• 2×400(200), 2×1200(400), 2×400(200)
Pace – run the first 400’s @ Interval pace
Run the 1200’s @ 5k race pace
Run the final 400’s @ Interval pace or faster
This will simulate the beginning, middle and finish of a 5k race (quick(ish) start, race pace, finish strong)
Cool Down:
• 10 min jog
