The Customers Bank 25th Anniversary BCRR Thanksgiving Day Five Miler and One Mile Run is tomorrow. We are expecting our biggest field ever. As of tonight, we have over 900 registrants. There are still many volunteer positions open. This link gets you to the volunteer sign-up http://www.doitsports.com/volunteer2/jobs-by-date.tcl?event_id=213586. All volunteers get a very attractive running hat.
The Winter Series is just a week and a half away. We start with the Tour of Tyler on December 7th. For new participants, this is fun run introduction to beautiful and challenging Tyler State Park. I am race director for this event. In recognition of Pearl Harbor Day, I am encouraging everyone to wear some patriotic garb. A tradition of the Winter Series and the BCRR, is our contribution to the Courier-Times Give a Christmas Fund. In the past, we have just focused this collection at the Jingle Bell Run. Weather has hindered us and I’d like to collect at each race until the Jingle Bell race.
Please sign up on-line for membership and Winter Series. Please read the instructions carefully. This makes the whole process a lot easier for us.
The Caesar Rodney Half Marathon is March 22, 2015. The price is $ 60 before January 1st. This is a challenging race with a team category. In the past, we have had as many as seven teams (7 to a team). We carpool and have a great time. You must register as an individual and I will enter the team data. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I hope to see many of you tomorrow at the Thanksgiving Day race and Sunday, December 7th.
