Runner’s Choice
As we continue to deal with COVID, please bring your own water.
Warm Up:
• 10 minute jog warm up, dynamic stretching and strides
Workout:
4×200(200) – 4×400(200) – 4×200(200)
or
4×200(200) – 6×400(200) – 4×200(200)
The purpose of this workout is to mimic a race where you feel fresh (200’s), settle in during middle of race (400’s) and then try and finish strong (last 200’s)…all while keeping as even a pace as possible with the exception of running a little quicker on your last 200’s.
Try and run at your current 5k race pace.
Cool Down:
• 10 min jog
