What is this event you ask and why do we call something in June the Equinox? Well, much history goes behind the naming and…. OK, so we mixed up the Equinox and the Solstice but we thought it was so funny we kept the name! A bit of BCRR humor!
The Equinox is our club’s Ultra and it is a BLAST. This is the kind of event where you get to meet other members you might not get to meet at a Winter Series event. Below are the details and you can also learn more and register below.
Time: 7:00AM EDT – 7:00PM EDT
Location: Washington Crossing Historic Park, 355 Washington Crossing Pennington Rd, Titusville, NJ 08560
Greene Grove Picnic Area, Titusville, NJ US 08560
The Equinox is back for 2018 and is scheduled for June 16, 2018 at the Washington Crossing Park in New Jersey. The event will be like last year in that we’ll have an all- day picnic for members and families at the Greene Grove pavilion.
This is a members only “Run for the Fun of it” event. There are no winners or losers! The event is free but donations are encouraged to help cover the cost.
The running event will take place on a well-marked 5-6-mile trail loop. You will have 12 hours to run as many loops as you can. We will have a men’s and women’s winner based on total mileage throughout the day but otherwise this is a non- competitive fun event. Run as much or as little as you want. The trails in the park are beautiful and this will be a great day to come together as a club to enjoy the day!
We will have a picnic grove as the start/ stop. It serve as aid station and cookout pavilion.
Please join us at what will certainly be the summer place to be! …and if you can please consider a donation.
